OK, at The TIREDGIRL Society we spend a lot of days in bed! So we came up with 7 fun things to do when you’re looking for a super low energy activity to do from bed.
1. Organise Your Photos
Staying in bed is a great opportunity to sort through your photo collection. Either on your phone, your computer or your boxes of photos! Or ask your parents to bring round all the photos from your childhood and spend a day flicking through the memories.
2. Review Movies or Books
Do you look up reviews for movies or films before you buy them? Why don’t you offer up your valuable opinion on one of the popular review websites or start your own collection of reviews and send them off to your local newspaper or submit chronic illness themed movie or book review to The TIREDGIRL Voice.
3. Design Outfits
This is one of our favorites! Create your very own project runway by cutting out clothes and looks you like from magazines and curating a collection of outfits for yourself or someone you know! You could even research the clothes online and price up each outfit.
We have loads of online courses from as little as $9 in our Homeschool, including fashion design, writing, scrapbooking and cooking. Take a browse through the courses here.
4. Make A Flip Book
This is a fun activity and all you need is a pack of post-its or a small sticky notepad. Use stick-men/women or your drawing skills and create your own little cartoon of moving pictures to tell a story – it can be as silly as you like, it could touch on a serious subject or be poetic! Why not flip-book a scene from a movie or from your own life! The possibilities with this are endless!
5. Menu Plan
Why not use your time to write out a menu plan for the next week or two! Gather your recipe books or google easy-to-make meals and create your own mouth-watering menu and have something to look forward to each day.
6. Get on Pinterest
Open a free account on Pinterest and create as many vision boards and scrapbooks as you want! Whether you want to gather ideas for your home, winter outfits or guides to writing better – Pinterest has it all!

7. Help Someone Out
Do you know someone that has very little free time on their hands to get through their to-do list? Maybe a family member that would appreciate a helping hand with something? If you have a laptop, there are endless ways to give a helping hand whilst you take a day in bed. From ordering a shop online to gathering research for them via Google or ordering new books (why not get yourself one too!). Helping others is a great feeling.
